More of the crew- Erin Norris

I’ve always had music at the centre of everything I do; whether that’s been going to sleep, making my own music, attending shows or just going about my daily life, it’s always been my pulse. Everyone says this when asked about what they listen to, but I really do have a scope for basically any genre. However my main ones are metal, rock, hardcore and techno. Going to concerts and gigs, no matter how big or small, internationally or locally known has been my hobby for as long as I can remember. I think my favourites to this day are either Bring Me the Horizon, Korn or Knocked Loose (all three of which I got way too carried away in the pit and got seriously injured, worth it!). Other honourable mentions are definitely Brutalismus 3000 and Thrown. You will find me at the centre of the chaos at every event. I love the community that comes with live music, and the fact that it’s the deepest form of displaying emotion (for me at least). It’s helped me through a lot growing up when I fe...

West End Girl by Lily Allen reviewed by a South East Girl

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH  Little view into my life, and I can assure you that many girls my age also have a special place in their hearts for the heroine, Lily Allen (in both senses). Catchy hooks and upbeat songs that feel bittersweet allow her to be truthful and raw, with slower songs and many other things to add to her CV. I grew up with Lily Allen blasting, not really knowing the lyrics but loving the vibe. I've heard many of my peers talking about their older sisters going through heartbreak, first relationships and hormones. This became part of their elaborate tapestry of musical taste.  Lily's debut, "Alright, Still", is still something I blast regularly, as an only child, especially with my parents, who love her as much as me. This opened up the world for me, hearing a singer who didn't sing with an American accent and singing in the way she spoke, and of course, that has changed with time, but she isn't immortal, and c...

Another Memeber of the Crew

I am happy to announce the newest member of the crew, Sam. Here's a little intro by him about himself. We can't wait to see what he writes about, bringing in a perspective that some of you can resonate with. As a kid, I always felt like a little bit of an outcast, but when I went to my first all-ages show at 15, I finally found a sense of belonging; ever since, the moshpit has been my home. To date, I've seen over 400 bands and musicians, and I have no plans of slowing down. You'll most likely find me moshing at a pub or skanking at a rave. Where possible, I try to live a punk lifestyle, I'm unapologetically socialist and authentically me. Musically, I'm fond of Drum & Bass, Punk, and Emo; however, I enjoy exploring all sorts of music. My favourite artists/bands are PUP, Jeff Rosenstock, and My Chemical Romance.  Currently, I'm based in London and there's no place I'd rather be. I moved here from Australia in 2023, and the scene I've experien...

We're Being Buried Alive- Who are we?

Well, we are a strong word. So, let's start with what, where, when, and why.  What: About a year ago, I went to a Punk event in the middle of nowhere (well, it was London, but tucked away), and it was a great event as DIY can be, but I realised the live music event community is being buried alive. During the victorian times, science wasn't what we know today. Often people were buried alive, to ensure this doesn't happen bells with strings connected to the casket were pplaced at the grave so people could ring if this had happened. That's what I want to do with this Blog. Where: I battled for months on here, thinking about how I could release this with little to no money. Most online Zine platforms need a subscription, and I want this to be as DIY and accessible as possible for writers and readers alike. This isn't going to be our forever platform, but it's a start, and this is definitely not our grave.  When:  Access to pieces once realised, no need to wait for...
