We're Being Buried Alive- Who are we?

Well, we are a strong word. So, let's start with what, where, when, and why.

What:

About a year ago, I went to a Punk event in the middle of nowhere (well, it was London, but tucked away), and it was a great event as DIY can be, but I realised the live music event community is being buried alive. During the victorian times, science wasn't what we know today. Often people were buried alive, to ensure this doesn't happen bells with strings connected to the casket were pplaced at the grave so people could ring if this had happened. That's what I want to do with this Blog.

Where:

I battled for months on here, thinking about how I could release this with little to no money. Most online Zine platforms need a subscription, and I want this to be as DIY and accessible as possible for writers and readers alike. This isn't going to be our forever platform, but it's a start, and this is definitely not our grave.

When:

Access to pieces once realised, no need to wait for a release, and get updates on small events that I'll be attending or know are happening, trying to keep our readers in the know.

Why:

Why not? I'm a musician myself, studying at Goldsmiths, aiming to get a degree in music and go into music journalism. Where to start but a blog. All great oaks started out as a seed. I need to start somewhere, so why not here?

Now back to WE. I'm not the only person issuing reviews and other music info. I want this to be a community where people can discuss anything, including major artists that they've seen live, past experiences and anything or everything to do with music. Each piece is written will have names and social media links so you can keep up with everything. In the meantime, this is our first post, and we can't wait to see what you have to say.

Sincerely,

Rosa Carla

Editor in Chief :)
